About the author
Klára Ocskay (b. February 16, 1993, in Cluj-Napoca) has been a professor of theoretical music studies at the Sigismund Toduță Music College in Cluj-Napoca since 2012. Starting from 2020, she has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Sapientia University of Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Photo-Film-Media, specializing in Choreography and Choreographic Pedagogy. Her teaching activity in higher education includes subjects such as music theory, rhythmics, music history, traditional singing, as well as artistic practice, including traditional dances from the dialects of Transylvania and the Székelyland region. She completed her undergraduate studies at the Gheorghe Dima National Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Theoretical Music Studies, Musicology, graduating in 2015. She pursued a Master’s degree in the same field, defending her dissertation in 2017. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Sigismund Toduță Doctoral School in Cluj-Napoca, where her musicological research focuses on the operatic music of Hungarian composer Péter Eötvös.
